LaSalle Network is currently partnered with a pioneering infrastructure as a service provider committed to technological excellence in artificial intelligence, machine learning and blockchain solutions. They are seeking a talented Linux Systems Administrator to join the team.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining their Linux-based infrastructure, ensuring reliability, security and performance across systems. Collaborating with remote teams and stakeholders, you will play a crucial part in supporting their mission-critical operations, including high-performance computing and blockchain applications. This is a full time and hybrid-based opportunity located in Irving, TX.

Linux Systems Administrator Responsibilities:

• Install, configure and maintain Linux operating systems such as CentOS, Ubuntu and Red Hat Enterprise Linux
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues and optimize resources for maximum uptime and reliability
• Implement security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems and access controls to protect against security threats
• Manage user accounts, permissions and access controls in line with security policies
• Conduct system backups and disaster recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and business continuity
• Automate tasks using scripting languages like Bash, Python or Perl for improved efficiency
• Collaborate with IT teams to deploy new applications and technologies in the Linux environment

Linux Systems Administrator Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field preferred
• 3+ years of experience in Linux system administration, preferably in cloud computing or data center environments
• Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems, networking and security principles
• Proficiency in shell scripting and automation tools (Bash, Python or Perl)
• Experience with virtualization technologies like VMware or KVM
• Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes is a plus
• Experience supporting high-performance computing and blockchain applications is desirable
