Job Title: Medicare Advantage Billing and Collections Specialist (Contract-to-Hire)

Location: Hybrid - Richardson, TX (On-site Tuesday/Wednesday, Remote Monday/Thursday/Friday)

Pay: $20-25 per hour

About Our Client:

We are partnering with a consulting firm that provides back-office support to hospice and home health companies. They are seeking a Billing and Collections Specialist to manage Medicare Advantage billing and accounts receivable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform billing and collections for Medicare Advantage payors with a focus on home health services.
• Utilize Homecare Homebase for billing and Waystar as the clearinghouse for claims processing.
• Ensure Medicare Advantage billing is completed daily by the 3 PM deadline.
• Work with accounts receivable (AR) spreadsheets, handling 50 AR claims per day.
• Review and interpret Explanation of Benefits (EOBs), Remittance Advice (RA), and UB forms for accuracy.
• Maintain productivity and accuracy standards while managing daily claims.

Qualifications:

• Preferred experience in home health billing, although physician or hospital billing experience may also be applicable.
• Familiarity with reading EOBs, Remits, and UB forms.
• Basic Excel skills for managing AR spreadsheets.
• Experience with Homecare Homebase and Waystar systems is a plus.
