The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

The Department of Epidemiology at the Mailman School of Public Health seeks a Student Casual to assist in the operations of several grant-funded projects focused on injury risks and alcohol use and related harm for 35 hours per week. Under direct supervision of the Principal Investigator, the incumbent will be responsible for providing support for research projects including communicating with study participants, overseeing logistics, and contributing to the development of study-related documents and/or materials. The incumbent will also assist the Principal Investigator in handling data entry, data management, data analyses and manuscript preparation. They will perform other related duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

Communication with study participants, 10%

Data management and analysis, 80%

Perform other related duties as assigned, 10%

Minimum Qualifications

Requires completion of master's degree.

Must be detail-oriented, with excellent organizational, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, and the ability to maintain the highest degree of confidentiality and diplomacy at all times.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency using Stata, SAS, R or a similar statistical package is highly desirable.
