Position Summary

The Department of Surgery, Breast Division, is looking for Non-Student Short-Term Casual. Incumbent will perform multiple assignments under direct supervision

Responsibilities
  • Individual will prepare check request
  • Handle human specimens
  • Order and maintain laboratory supplies.
  • Review study budgets
  • Record data related to task or studies.
  • Assisting in the collection of lab chemical wastes.
  • Compile documentation required to issue checks and perform other related duties as necessary to the functioning of the laboratory.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School graduate or equivalency certificate, technical training or equivalency, and some related laboratory experience, usually six months.

Other Requirements
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously with accuracy
  • Excellent attention to detail and proactive follow-through of assigned projects
  • Thorough knowledge of MS Excel
  • Ability to keep records in an orderly fashion
  • Ability understand and adhere to compliance policies
  • Ability to respectfully and effectively communicate with patients, staff, and faculty
