The Project Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and completion of projects across the Oncology Service Line, supporting the Chief of Oncology Services, Administrative Director of Oncology Services, and as needed in support of the oncology team. Oversees all aspects of projects to include tracking deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of project. Builds and maintains working relationships with team members, vendors, and other departments involved in the projects. Prepares reports for upper management regarding status of project. Must have knowledge of a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Leads and directs the work of others. This individual will apply proven communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to coordinate projects and maintain oncology accreditation status.

In cooperation with the Chief of Cancer Services, and the Administrative Director of Cancer Services, the Oncology Project Coordinator has management responsibilities for all aspects of the delivery for one or more projects to include producing, monitoring, and reporting project status against a project work plan.
  • Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson
  • Manage project scope, implementation plan and resources requirements for the oncology team, and multidisciplinary teams involved in oncology projects
  • Perform reimbursement and project payment management, administration and planning tasks that relate to implementation projects
  • Manage tasks associated with successfully implementing solutions.
  • Manage relationships at the project and management level. Establish and maintain relationships with a diverse set of key staff, including the interdisciplinary team across the Cancer Service Line
  • Manage expectations with respect to project deliverables, timelines, and budgets
  • Serve as a control point for project issues. Support executive sponsor in negotiating and coordinating resolution for all project issues at the client site
  • Manage relationships at the project and management level. Establish and maintain relationships with a diverse set of key staff, including the interdisciplinary team across the Cancer Service Line
  • Perform reimbursement and payment management, administration and planning tasks that relate to engagements.
  • Communicate project status to management and internal departments via use of status reports. Manage, escalate and resolve project issues in a timely manner
  • Monitor and maintain good satisfaction ratings.
  • Achieve targets for personal productivity, as assigned
  • Participate in and support activities at assigned projects
  • Limited call and holiday coverage needed
  • Participates and/or directs various projects impacting on operations, as assigned by the Administrative Director of Cancer Services
  • Performs all other duties, as assigned.


Qualifications

HS Diploma or greater
  • Minimum 2 years relevant Project Coordinator experience, Medical background preferred. Oncology background strongly preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to set and manage expectations.
  • Ability to analyze, prioritize, and facilitate resolution of all project related issues
  • Proficient in all Microsoft office suite software.
