Job Description:
This position is located in the Department of Physical Therapy in the College of Public Health and Health Professions. This position provides critical laboratory support for Dr. David Fuller's ( https://pt.phhp.ufl.edu/profile/fuller-david/ ) research facility.
The work will be conducted in a busy research laboratory, working alongside graduate students and postdoctoral fellows. The ability to work well in a team setting is essential.
The position will involve working with laboratory mice and/or rats, in studies of brain and spinal cord neuroplasticity and rehabilitation.
Duties include:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour; commensurate with education, skills, and experience.
Minimum Requirements:
Associate's degree in an appropriate area of specialization or a high school diploma and two years of related experience. Appropriate college course work or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.

- Histology including tissue cutting and mounting;
- Microscopy;
- Immunohistochemistry;
- Data analyses;
- Assisting with care of laboratory animals;
- Ordering of laboratory supplies;
- Working with University of Florida IACUC and EH&S to ensure laboratory compliance.
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour; commensurate with education, skills, and experience.

- Experience with histology and microscopy.
- Experience with small animal surgery.
- Experience working in a research laboratory is essential.
