Product Manager - Video Infrastructure

The Video Infra team is responsible for the end to end video & audio content pipeline, spanning across our Family of Apps and Reality Labs. Our mission is to accelerate the success of video & audio products at Meta by providing the best in class shared media platform. Our scope is glass to glass and includes ingestions and media content creation (on mobile apps, web, 3P partners,...) to processing, delivery and consumption and our typical products are available through a set of APIs and mobile-SDKs. We are looking for a Product Manager working with a cross-functional team of engineers, technical program managers, data scientists, designers, and researchers to build our Media GenAI platform. This is a highly xfn (east-west with Meta-wide reach) and platform PM role - You are an internal facing PM and need to create strong partnerships and joint strategy/execution with different product teams (Facebook, Instagram, ...) as well as GenAI org, AI Infra, Core AI and central infrastructure teams.

Product Manager - Video Infrastructure Responsibilities

• Build the 2yr strategy of GenAI media platform (VI platform) with close alignment to GenAI, Facebook, Instagram and Central Infrastructure orgs. Media should start from Video and Audio with the potential to expand to images over time.


• Develop and present roadshow-like reviews that clearly articulate and evangelize VI's value proposition in GenAI media use cases to GenAI, AI and FOA leaderships. Creating a strong alignment and partnership.


• Define and report success metrics.


• Understand the current requirements and anticipate the new requirements of GenAI org as it is related to video or audio application.


• Support the execution of various GenAI media projects with large (out of FB app) xfn teams.


• Bring industry and competitive awareness to the teams and help shape the Gen AI media platform roadmap.


• Build the strategy and support the execution of ML work that is non-GenAI.

Minimum Qualifications

• A healthy blend of proven technical (Video, Audio, APIs, Compression tech, etc) and customer-focused mindset


• Demonstrated understanding in ML and GenAI technologies at scale


• Strategic thinker that can relate technology solutions to customer use cases


• Experience to manage a portfolio of bigger and smaller bets across the teams, while balancing short-term goals and long-term vision


• Experience in applying a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods to define success and problem solving without perfect metrics


• Extremely proven communication skills.
