PROGRAM MANAGER II

Responsible for administratively managing a large or complex University program or multiple programs. Provides input in the development of program plan and objectives with responsibility for achieving objectives within defined parameters. Typically supervises small staffs and are responsible for long range planning. Responsibilities include budgeting, networking/public relations, technical training and assistance, grant and report writing. May handle regulatory responsibilities, contract submissions and identify research funding. May handle event planning and oversight of construction projects.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Developing protocol specific materials: phone screenings, demographic surveys, questionnaires, topic guides, and other data collection tools
  • Regulatory responsibilities: IRB protocol submissions, continuing reviews, and amendments. Participates in long range planning of research projects
  • Manages, coordinates, and plans community activities related to research (working group meetings, focus groups, recruitment and retention, etc.)
  • Networks with community members. Makes recommendations around staffing and budgeting to the PI - Develops and adapts protocol specific interventions within area of clinical expertise
  • Prepares and assists supervisor in reports writing with appropriate documentation. (OnCore, Investigator Progress Reports/RPPR, clinicaltrials.gov)
  • Adverse event management for study participants - Controlled feeding management and education including fidelity reports - Precepts Master's level interns and students
  • Performs other duties as assigned


Salary Range : $51,270 - $83,300

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field and five (5) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement

Preferred Additional Qualifications:

  • Ability to use desk top computer (and related software), smart phone, tablets, apps, social media, etc
  • Interpersonal skills Experience with chronic disease populations Health education experience
  • Ability to multi-task Ability to work as part of a team
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Knowledge of research
