Description

  • Manage the day-to-day activities of Central Staffing to align with Police Department needs.
  • Works closely with department leaders to define project goals, objectives, and scope.
  • Develop and manage projects with detailed project schedule and work plan to meet deadlines.
  • Monitor and analyze hiring trends to predict staffing needs for critical shortage positions based on HB 3 guidelines.
  • Interpret and analyze data using statistical techniques, provide ongoing reports to help inform high-level decision making with departmental leadership.
  • Build and manage relationships with a cross-sector range of stakeholders, including senior leadership. Serve as Police Department Staffing liaison with other district departments (Budget, Special Revenue Fund Management, School Leadership, etc.).
  • Implement accountability measures to monitor, track and evaluate departmental performance on quality, efficiency and accuracy of all services.
  • Oversee the onboarding process for Dallas ISD Police Department to ensure execution at the highest level.
  • Identify operational gaps to identify areas for improvement and develop solutions.
  • Provide feedback and suggestions to departmental leadership on Police Department staffing operations.
  • Manage other HCM initiatives and business processes or projects.
  • Perform all other tasks and duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Required Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university.
  • Project Management Professional Certification is preferred.
  • Required 3-5 years of direct project management experience.
  • Functional knowledge of Oracle and other HR related systems preferred.
  • Ability to strategize and execute to achieve outcomes.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR procedures and best practices.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem solving, discernment, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and to take direction as needed.
  • Project management skills with the ability to complete projects in a timely manner.
  • Ability to work beyond the confines of the job description to contribute to a powerful team committed to educational equity and student achievement.
