Quality Assurance Engineering Co-op - Winter 2025 - 8 month term preferred - 4 month term potentially available

The Quality Assurance Engineering Co-op will be based out of Macon, Georgia (1897 Allen Road, 31216). This is a temporary student position. The primary language of work is English.
We have an excellent student program at J.D. Irving with formal and informal opportunities to meet and network with people from all across the business, including other students. Job Requirements
- Enrolled in Engineering Degree, Science, or Math
- Strong computer skills and statistical analysis (MS Office, Minitab)
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma continuous improvement tools
- Excellent attention to detail
- Meet or exceed strict deadlines
- Ability to analyze and communicate information effectively and accurately
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently
The main duties/responsibilities of this role include:
- Lead and participate in product quality improvement initiatives/projects
- Assist in the preparation and execution of product trial runs (paper, packaging, etc.)
- Lead or participate in the development of trial products and studies (ie. feasibility, etc.)
- Facilitate or lead quality improvement events with employees and/or quality teams
- Conduct product testing and data analysis
- Analyze data related to quality checks, quality parameters, and corrective action plans
- Liaison for corporate technical regarding new products and upcoming trials, etc.
- Other duties as assigned
