Cedar Springs is seeking a dynamic and experienced Reliability Leader. The Reliability Manager is responsible for improving facility's manufacturing performance. This is to be accomplished by reducing machine downtime and unscheduled maintenance through improved equipment reliability.

We are looking for a collaborative team player with initiative to own and drive the reliability of the mill and lead the team in PBM® excellence. A successful candidate will be self-directed and will have the ability to communicate with team members at all levels.

Our Team

The Cedar Springs facility is one of the largest containerboard facilities in the country with 3 paper machines that make different weights of brown paper & containerboard paper. It is located in the Southwest corner of Georgia about 25 miles from Dothan, AL and you are just 1.5 hours from 2 major capital cities, Tallahassee, FL and Montgomery, AL. What You Will Do

  • Providing technical leadership to the Reliability Engineering Team members to execute cost effective preventive and predictive Asset strategies to achieve best in class availability and reliability of the plant process equipment.
  • Providing resources to support equipment related loss investigations to determine casual factors and provide technical recommendations and mitigation plans to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Collaborating with operations, maintenance, engineering, procurement and other identified stakeholders to drive improved asset availability and support fit for purpose training on reliability work processes and practices.
  • Support equipment related data capture for analysis and trending to establish equipment health, evaluation of risk, identifying bad actors and opportunities for improvement.
  • Establishing and publishing Reliability Key Performance Indicators to measure and improve Reliability performance of the equipment assets and reliability related work processes.
  • Assessing Equipment Criticalities and developing Asset Strategies to achieve cost effective reliability, availability and performance of the plant equipment.
  • Ensuring the facility's assets are operating reliably, efficiently, and compliant with all safety guidelines and government regulations.
  • Engaging with Capital and Project Engineering to review and recommend Design for Reliability considerations for new equipment installations and equipment upgrades.
  • Developing 1-year and 3-year Reliability Tactical Plan Plans to improve equipment availability and performance.
  • Supporting Maintenance in the development of forward-looking multi-year equipment replacement and overhaul plans.
  • Identifying opportunities to use reliability best practices, technology, automation and Artificial Intelligence to promote cost effective asset care and performance.
  • Supporting Maintenance in the review and rationalization and optimization of effective PM plans.
  • Utilizes communication skills to establish partnerships across to the site to achieve plant performance goals.
  • Working a flexible schedule, including occasional weekend duty as necessary to manage facility performance


Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • Knowledge of reliability centered maintenance and ability to facilitate investigations and develop mitigation plans to address findings.
  • Experience with maintenance best practices such as shutdown planning and execution, preventive maintenance, and precision maintenance techniques
  • Experience with predictive maintenance technologies (i.e. vibration & oil analysis, thermography, ultrasound)


What Will Put You Ahead

  • Experience in the pulp and paper industry
  • Knowledge and/or experience with Process Control
  • Experience with proactive reliability tools and Root-Cause-Analysis methodology
  • Experience developing and implementing improvement processes and projects
  • Experience troubleshooting equipment issues and analyzing production loss and reliability data
