Summary

The Department of Pathology Clinical Operations is seeking a Senior Coordinator, HR Operations to join our administrative team. This position provides HR support and travel support to our staff and clinicians at all levels and plays a vital role in our day-to-day operations. The position requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess great customer service skill, self-motivation, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and assist others.

This position may offer the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule after a three-month training period.

Job Duties

Human Resources:
• Provides management and oversight of HR operations for the department.
• Serves as primary point of contact for all HR functions for the department.
• Manages the HR activities for the department including hiring, termination, salary and disciplinary actions, on-boarding, and off-boarding.
• Submits and manage all new/replacement/promotion position requests.
• Works directly with BCM's Employment recruiter assigned to Pathology (CPA) in reference to recruitment, interviewing, hiring for the organizational unit, and the posting of new jobs on BCM's employment and external websites.
• Works directly with Compensation to ensure all internal personnel activities meet college and organizational objectives in recruitment, equal pay, equal opportunity, transfers and promotions.
• Works with confidential information where discretion is necessary to protect confidentiality and maintain confidential files and records in accordance with records management.
• Manages/maintains Sponsored Guest Account requests for Pathology (CPA) non-paid employees.
• Manages and maintain the departmental process for all incoming and active visa immigrants within Pathology (CPA).
• Responsible for Faculty recruitment and promotion processes working closely with the department faculty and Chairman.
• Prepares and route faculty employment agreements, faculty appointment letters and faculty promotion packets.
• Assists with financial operations, including annual budget preparation and preparing financial reports.
• Submits supplemental payments.
• Provides HR operational knowledge and guidance to employees and managers, including partnering with Employee Relations and advising on HR matters.
• Assists the Administrator and Chairman in attaining goals and objectives.
• Ability to perform multiple time-sensitive and confidential administrative duties.
• Communicates College policies to faculty and staff in the organizational unit and respond promptly concerning inquiries and requests for information.
• Counsels departmental contacts on various issues, not limited to: compensation, BCM's policies and procedures, advertisements, and offers.
• Performs other job duties as required.

Travel:
• Creates pre-trip authorizations and process travel reimbursements.
• Processes travel reimbursements for non-BCM employees.
• Processes check requests and petty cash reimbursements for staff/faculty.
• Updates and distribute BCM and Department Travel Policies as they are updated.
• Maintains & updates faculty professional dues spreadsheets.
• Manages domestic and international travel in the travel management system (Concur).

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Four years of relevant experience.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree.
