Baylor College of Medicine Department of Pathology is seeking a Coordinator, Business Operations to serve as a key player in our Clinical Operations team, specializing in purchasing and accounts payable. This vital role involves managing procurement processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments, and maintaining strong vendor relationships. Job Duties

  • Prepares and processes purchasing orders for the department.
  • Routes and track purchasing contracts through Jaggaer for approval.
  • May serve as back-up for Senior Coordinator, Business Operations as needed.
  • Managed encumbrances for all clinical pathology accounts.
  • Manages payments for one time and recurring payments for the clinical pathology department.
  • Manages business card purchases and reallocate expenses to the proper funding account.
  • Assists end users with questions regarding orders, i.e. status, rushes, etc.
  • Serves as liaison with Purchasing Department personnel to ensure timely and efficient processing of orders and order payments.
  • Processes work order requisitions and move requests.
  • Routes incoming faxes.
  • Receives and logs incoming packages and distributes them accordingly.
  • Answers office phones, screen phone calls and routes them accordingly.
  • Special projects as assigned.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Two years of relevant experience.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
