Summary

The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences is seeking a motivated individual to promote the Child Psychiatry Access Network (CPAN) and Perinatal Psychiatry Access Network (PeriPAN) teams at Baylor College of Medicine (BCM). As a part of the Texas Child Mental Health Care Consortium Grant (TCMHCC), CPAN provides consultation, education and support to primary care providers delivering pediatric mental health care in Texas. This individual will coordinate outreach activities on behalf of the BCM CPAN and PeriPAN teams and promote outreach plans to external audiences including health providers, community organizations, and school systems.

This position requires driving to and from BCM to various clinics in the Houston Metropolitan area.

Job Duties

  • Serves as the first point of contact for the CPAN and PeriPAN teams by establishing relationships with community stakeholders, including pediatric primary care providers, OB's and health systems. Within these relationships, identify ways to promote CPAN's role in improving youth mental health and pregnant and postpartum women. Communicates clear information on CPAN and PeriPAN services, eligibility criteria, and referral processes.
  • Plans and coordinates events, workshops, conferences, and presentations to increase CPAN's and PeriPAN visibility and establish partnerships with relevant stakeholders.
  • Coordinates logistics for meetings, including scheduling, venue bookings, and catering as needed.
  • Coordinates with the clinical team to facilitate timely access to psychiatric consultation and resources for healthcare providers and families seeking assistance.
  • Tracks metrics of outreach efforts.
  • Strategizes and developments plans for CPAN and PeriPan outreach.
  • Orders and manages marketing materials for events.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Four years of relevant experience.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, communications, or a related field (master's degree preferred).
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Community Outreach experience.
