Senior Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex IT infrastructure systems, including virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware), operating systems (e.g., Windows, RedHat), and automation tools (e.g., Ansible). You will also oversee system upgrades, migrations, and deployments, ensuring minimal disruption to operations. Additionally, you will develop and implement robust disaster recovery and business continuity plans, including data protection strategies (e.g., DPOs). Your strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills will be essential for resolving complex technical issues related to systems infrastructure. To improve efficiency and reduce errors, you will automate routine tasks using scripting languages and automation tools. Finally, you will provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members and collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of systems. The hourly rate for this position is between $60-75/hr.

Required Skills & Experience

10+ years of experience in systems engineering or a similar role.
In-depth knowledge of virtualization technologies, particularly VMware.
Proficiency with Windows and Red Hat Linux operating systems.
Experience with automation tools such as Ansible.
Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Certification in relevant technologies (e.g., VMware Certified Professional, Red Hat Certified System Administrator)
