Position Title: Software Engineer IV

Position Location: 100% remote reporting to: 2828 North Harwood St., Ste. 1500, Dallas, TX 75201

Summary of Duties: Engage with system users and business analysts to identify system enhancements and/or new applications to meet business needs. Actively contribute to development of solutions and ideas that add value. Develop elegant and simple solutions. Create quality design documents to illustrate how system works. Write clear and detailed technical specifications for development of application. Adhere to big picture view of how various connected system designs should be consolidated or affected. Produce products on schedule and elegant and efficient designs, high performance, and scalable code that allow for easy extension to future needs. Produce code of high quality and reliability, including strong quality code metrics. Effectively performs code walk-throughs. In conjunction with Quality Services, proactively perform extensive system testing to ensure that systems work efficiently and are developed following applicable development methodology. Perform unit tests to ensure accuracy. Track record of identifying largest risk areas and driving resolution of issues. Lead design, development and implementation of complex systems. Provide accurate and timely input to Project Manager regarding status of technical tasks for self and team. Effectively and actively play role of technical advisor for projects, providing advice on tools, process and design to others. Show initiative to initiate and actively facilitate meetings and issue resolution. Ensure project goals make sense and overall development objectives are met. Serve as contact person in support of more serious production problems/issues. Design and develop high quality, scalable and efficient solutions and products on schedule.

Qualifications

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field of study and 7 years of progressive experience in Software Engineering.

Applicants must have demonstrated experience with the following:

1) gathering technical requirements as part of the design and development of applications;

2) leading technical requirements gathering, design and development processes;

3) designing and developing high quality, scalable and efficient solutions and products on schedule;

4) serving as a team leader on technically and functionally diverse teams;

5) leading and mentoring junior team members;

6) appropriate architectural disciplines, including cloud engineering, design best practices, and managing vulnerabilities;

7) identifying root cause of technical problems and developing solutions to correct them;

8) working with product owners and business stakeholders throughout an organization; and

9) integrating and managing third party vendors.

Anticipated Base Pay: $139,464 - $193,400 per year
