The Department of State Hospitals - Department of Medicine and Ancillary Services (MAS) is accepting applications for Limited Term (with possibility of becoming permanent) Staff Service Analyst (SSA), position. This position is under the supervision of the Nursing Coordinator as well as Chief of Primary Care. The SSA under supervision performs consultative and analytical assignments such as program evaluation and planning, systems development, budgeting, planning, training, management, and personnel analysis and other related work. The SSA will also be responsible for the purchasing of medical supplies and equipment, responsible for inventory control/cost containment. Assignments include but not limited to, communicating with various departments/units throughout the hospital to schedule various types of medical appointments, typing correspondence, reports, and forms; data input, taking meeting minutes; record keeping and filing systems; and ordering of supplies. Further, proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel and Outlook is mandatory. The position requires professional conduct with good interpersonal skills and respect in working with the diverse patient population served including nursing and professional staff.
