Position Location: Remote, if in PA then the opportunity for Thursday in-office

Duration: Contract to hire

Job Description:

This position will manage the corporation's strategic sourcing process and lead process direction, oversight, and methods for company contracts. Directs workflow, assigning work responsibilities and providing assistance and technical guidance to both business partners and Sourcing leaders. In addition, responsible for increasing shareholder value through significant dollar savings impact and limiting risk and liability exposure through appropriate contract development.

In this role will manage and execute best-in-class sourcing strategies including identification of sourcing projects, conducting risk management/due diligence, leveraging electronic tools and technology, regularly participating in and/or leading price negotiations, contract preparation, and execution, and providing information and influence to facilitate award decisions. Responsible for understanding details and general market knowledge of assigned commodity products and services. The role is also responsible for sales, marketing, and change management efforts across all levels of the organization. Provides value-added consultation and recommends process reengineering and efficiencies where applicable. Interfaces with all levels of management and frequently serves as a liaison between external providers and internal business partners for moderate to complex situations/projects and decisions that may have a significant impact.

Candidate Technical and Skills Profile:

Describe the role and the key responsibilities in order of which they will be doing daily:

• Researches and negotiates major organizational contracts and procurements.
• Prepares complex purchasing assignments requiring vendor selection and pricing comparisons.
• Consult with vendors to obtain optimum pricing and availability information. Researches and negotiates highly complex organizational purchases.
• Negotiates with vendors to obtain optimum quality, cost, terms, etc.
• Develops and monitors the effectiveness of purchasing strategies and effectiveness; initiates improvements as necessary.

Describe the required must-have technical skills, tools, or experience:

• 5-7 years of experience in Supply Chain Management.
• Outstanding liaison background across a large corporation's business units.
• Excellent management, meeting, and facilitation skills in presenting and enterprise of Client to its suppliers.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite of Products required.
• Strong Oral and Written Communication Skills required
• Analytical Ability/strategic Thinking required
• Organizational/Multi-Tasking Abilities required
• Contract Drafting/Management Skills required
• Experience with Ariba Buyer/Professional desired
• Project/Vendor Management experience preferred
• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, supply chain management or business-related field.
