Student Support Associate - Student Services - Elizabethton Main Campus
The Tennessee College of Applied Technology - Elizabethton is accepting applications for a full-time position of Student Support Associate in Student Services to be located at Elizabethton Campus. The office will be at the main campus, but the Student Support Associate must travel to all TCAT-Elizabethton extension campuses as needed to facilitate student needs.
MINNIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
GENERAL DUTIES: The Student Support Associate - Student Services is responsible for a broad range of tasks in a fast-paced office setting. The Student Support Associate is responsible for processing new student applications, and all related enrollment processes. This position also prepares reports and surveys for federal and state agencies and assists other members of the TCAT Elizabethton Leadership team in preparing various reports by compiling and providing needed data. Some duties of this position include, but are not limited to:
Scheduled work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., with a one-hour lunch. This position reports to the Student Services Coordinator.
SALARY: $41,727 - $54,251 per year. Commensurate with Tennessee College of Applied Technology salary guidelines, directly related experience, and education.

MINNIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Highschool diploma with experience or associates required; bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years of full-time experience in an office environment; experience in higher education preferred.
- Banner experience preferred.
- Thorough knowledge and demonstrated experience using multiple business software applications including Word, Access, Excel, and other MS Office applications.
- Ability to tactfully and effectively communicate with the public, employees, and students at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to consistently meet deadlines and submit accurate reports with close attention to details.
- Demonstrated experience of time management and organizational skills.
- Abilit and willingness to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability and willingness to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced office environment.
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects at once with minimal direct supervision.
- Knowledge of general financial aid information preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret policies, regulations, and manuals.
- Ability to design and maintain record-keeping systems.

- Tracking the number of open seats in each program to determine how many applications are needed for the next enrollment date.
- Contacting applicants on the waitlist to schedule orientation. Explain the process of orientation, seat confirmation, and registration.
- Assisting prospective and current students with completing online applications, setting up campus e-mails, registration issues, completing surveys, etc.
- Assist with new student orientation, graduation tasks, student appreciation days, and special events.
- Assist with maintaining all Banner registration functions
- Entering, maintaining, and compiling dates for various internal and external reports using a variety of advanced software applications.
- Completing and submitting all assigned reports in a timely manner.
- Some local travel may be required.
- Other duties as assigned.
