Position Summary
As Supply Chain Manager, North America Mobile Robotics, you will be responsible for developing and improving the strategic relationships with key suppliers such as contract manufacturers. This includes negotiating strategic agreements, managing, and improving supplier performance, forecasting and planning, cost control, and overall supply chain management. This role is dependent on close collaboration with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and other cross-functional teams. During the product life cycle, you are responsible for ensuring these key suppliers are prepared to support the delivery of key parts on-time at specified quality, and yield parameters and are prepared to meet the ramp quantities, and at the right cost. It is the Supply Chain Manager's primary objective to ensure suppliers meet or exceed commercial and technical requirements throughout the life cycle of the product(s).
Duties & Responsibilities
FUNCTIONS
• Primary Interface with Strategic Suppliers: Act as the main point of contact for strategic suppliers, particularly contract manufacturers or similar partners.
• Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, from direct contributor up to executive level.
• Forecast Ownership: Take ownership of the strategic supplier forecast, including ramp plans, ongoing production schedules, and any necessary adjustments.
• Continuous Improvement: Monitor and enhance strategic supplier performance using scorecard processes, ensuring commitments are met and continuous improvement occurs.
• Risk Mitigation: Develop contingency plans to mitigate technical challenges, long lead times, single-source dependencies, and other supply-related risks.
• Inventory Optimization: Implement programs that optimize schedule flexibility while minimizing excess inventory exposure.
• Sourcing Strategies Development: Create and execute sourcing strategies that align with Oceaneering Mobile Robotics' (OMR) current and future technical and business needs, such as cost reduction and design improvement.
• Supplier Selection and RFQ Process: Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and cross-functional teams to evaluate alternative suppliers, manage the RFQ process, and make final supplier selections.
• Contract Management: Skillfully negotiate agreements and contracts with strategic suppliers, securing best-in-class terms related to pricing, flexibility, quality, delivery, payment, warranty, and service. Track and manage performance against contract.
• Site Support: Lead a team across multiple US sites, as well as international suppliers. 25-30% travel required
REQUIRED
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial/Systems Engineering, Business, or other applicable field (or relevant combination of education and experience).
• 7+ years' work experience in supplier management, supply chain, sourcing or related fields associated with Contract Manufacturing, Electromechanical or Fabrication.
• 3+ years' experience managing teams of supply chain professionals.
• Experience in supplier evaluation/selection, should cost models, contract negotiation, and supply base management.
• Experience communicating with and influencing all levels of management.
• Strong critical thinking and project management skills with the ability to solve complex business problems through fact gathering, business process mapping, and data analysis.
• SAP, Oracle, or equivalent ERP knowledge
DESIRED
• Master's degree in Business or related field is a plus
• 3+ years contract manufacturing experience in related supply chain role
• Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or equivalent

This position is Hybrid - Remote and will require commuting to a designated office. Hybrid work schedules are determined by the hiring manager based on business need.
