JOB SUMMARY:

Supervises all front office staff. Oversees entire department in Director's absence.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Responsible for Front office staff scheduling and payroll processing for all Front office staff.
  • Responsible for training new staff members and for on-going education.
  • Assists Director with 90-day and annual evaluations as well as counselings/coachings with Front office staff as necessary.
  • Fills in as Admissions Rep/Registrars or Data Quality Coordinator as necessary.
  • Responsible for rounding the clinic and ensuring all compliance logs are complete and up to date.
  • Ensures waiting area is well kept and safe for patients/visitors.
  • Schedules rehab appointments.
  • Performs patient registration and verification of insurance.
  • Requests demographic informaiton along with their insurance information on a consistent basis.
  • Ensures all existing information in the SMS is upadted and that all existing information is verified for accuracy.
  • Responsible for upgrading all pre-registered patient's cases in a timely manner whtn they present for services and ensuring their timely arrival for treatment.
  • Responsible for collecting and accepting payment for services.
  • May on occasion, assist patients by wheeling them into the area in a wheelchair or assisting them as they walk to the area.
  • Ensures all pressing items are taken care of daily. PRN staff is assigned overload, as needed.
  • Ensures all orders are scanned, and estimates, postbacks and medical necessities are completed at the time of registration. If any issues come up leading to inability to complete, it needs to be escalated to Director.
  • Ensures all insurance codes are correct.
  • Pre-registered accounts need to be worked on mid-month and activated on the first day of the following month.
  • Coordinates and delegates office coverage 8-5pm and evening shifts as needed, including lunch time.
  • Must be able to take call and come in as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned or required.

    Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or equivalent.
    • Prior admission experience required.
    • Previous supervisory experience preferred.
