YOUR FUTURE TEAM

As part of TCEQ Administrative Services, you would help support the logistical and operational structure for TCEQ statewide the business foundation for the whole agency. See details about what we do.

This position is a member of our Information Resources Division.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in database administrative functions which include application management security.
  • Experience using Crystal Reports and/or developing new reports from scratch.
  • Experience using Oracle databases or Microsoft Access; Excel; and/or PowerPoint.


HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING...

  • Participate in CCEDS Application maintenance functions, which includes a coordinating effort between the Office of Compliance and Enforcement (OCE) and the Information Resources Division (IRD) on Data Corrections submitted by the OCE staff.
  • Facilitate the analysis, review, and maintenance of existing and future CCEDS data models, evaluating data model effectiveness, and preparing reports on related recommendations. Set up and maintain reference data tables and "canned" reports.
  • Participate in database administrative functions, which includes application management security (admitting new users, assigning proper level of security to these users, etc.).
  • Assist the Central Office and Regional Offices with regards to CCEDS functionality.




Qualifications:

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a major course work in business, public administration, or a related field, plus two years of full-time experience in a professional or technical capacity involving budget preparation or analysis.

OR

Three years of full-time experience in auditing, accounting, budget preparation, financial management, statistical analysis; or other responsible analytical or professional work that provided a knowledge of programs, budget procedures, budget execution, budgetary and financial relationships with workloads of organizational elements, organizational structure, and work processes of the organization.

OR

Registration as a Certified Public Accountant or a master's degree from an accredited college or university in public affairs, business administration, public administration, or a related field may be substituted for one year of the experience.
