TELEWORK

Staff who work in the Austin Metro will work in-office for one day, every other week, for a collaboration day as well as on an as-needed basis.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience leading a team, work group, or program.
  • Experience assigning, tracking, or prioritizing tasks.
  • Experience planning and setting realistic and obtainable team/group/program goals.
  • Experience drafting guidance documents or conducting training.


HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING...

  • Lead and oversee the Air Grants Division (AGD ) Task Force Team, prioritize and delegates tasks, and establishes daily and long-range duties and objectives to ensure successful and timely completion of multiple projects and initiatives, including the development and implementation of grant program guidelines, procedure, and policies. Provide high-level advice and ensures that all work is carried out according to agency guidelines.
  • Analyze and evaluate the Division's business practices and requirements in meeting statutory objectives. Collaborate with Division/Section/Team leadership and staff to gather requirements for grant program projects. Recommend solutions/changes when appropriate to effectively meet program policies, procedures, rules, regulations, and standards related to each TERP and/or TXVEMP programs.
  • Prepare project plans and coordinates Division resources to meet project timelines. Provides regular updates to Division/Section/Team leadership on the status of projects and any roadblocks encountered.
  • Complete personnel management functions including interviewing/hiring, coordinating training and professional development, developing staff roles and responsibilities, conducting performance management, and conducting succession planning to accomplish section goals and objectives.
  • Coordinate and supervise the research and preparation of ad-hoc report in response to request from executive management and program stakeholders. Represent the Team/Section at stakeholder meetings and/or briefings with executive management. Communicate and provide updates on team functions to managers, team leaders, and division staff.




Qualifications:

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in the administration of a program relevant to assignment.


OR

  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in a field relevant to assignment. (Required)

CURRENT TCEQ EMPLOYEES

This position is also available as a lateral transfer opportunity (LTO) to TCEQ employees within the Program Supervisor VI state classification. The selected candidate must meet the minimum qualifications of the corresponding job in the Program Supervisor VI series.
