This position is a member of our Houston regional staff.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working and managing complex regulatory compliance Waste issues including for MSW, IHW, and ER.
  • Experience in planning, developing, coordinating, and/or implementing major agency program(s).
  • Experience in tracking, training, leading, assigning and/or prioritizing the work of others.


HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING...

  • Supervise and direct staff in accomplishing Waste Program objectives for the Houston Regional Office of the TCEQ.
  • P SEQ CHAPTER \h \r 1lan and coordinate team activities, review and approve technical reports.
  • Schedule, coordinate, and monitor the progress of program work plan elements.
  • Participate in interviewing and hiring team members; develop staff and complete performance management functions.
  • Advise Section Manager of work plans, resource status, and significant team issues.




Qualifications:

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Experience in the administration of a program relevant to assignment.

OR

Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in a field relevant to assignment.

CURRENT TCEQ EMPLOYEES

This position is also available as a lateral transfer opportunity (LTO) to TCEQ employees within the Program Supervisor VII state classification. The selected candidate must meet the minimum qualifications of the corresponding job in the Program Supervisor VII series.
