E-commerce's Governance and Experience is a global team responsible for ensuring our marketplace is safe and trustworthy for not only users, but also sellers and creators. We value user satisfaction and work on policies, rules, and systems to ensure quality.
We are seeking an experienced individual to join our team as a Shop Tab Governance Program Manager. This role will be responsible for building and maintaining governance and experience strategies for the "Shop" section of TikTok, where a user can shop for products using the search bar, by category, or browse within more personalized sections such as "Deals", and "Recommended for you". The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of relevant experience in the US Ecommerce space showcasing a proven history of quick decision-making, operational excellence, and effective cross-functional collaboration.
Role & Responsibilities
- Create & maintain operational processes that ensure we're offering users a trusted and relevant shopping experience for all shopping channels where sellers and products are displayed to customers
- Continuously monitor, audit, and tag low quality product listings displayed on Shop Tab
- Provide regional specific recommendations, insights & analytics to cross functional teams across Product, Search, Recommendation, Algo, Moderation, Seller & Listing Policies teams
- Stay updated on e-commerce compliance standards and industry best practices
- Monitor feedback and user perception, continuously improving the experience on Shop Tab to enhance customer satisfaction
- Partner with data analytics and science teams to actively monitor Shop Tab performance
- Query & analyze data on an adhoc basis to identify issues, perform root cause analysis, or deep dive into seller metrics to support Customer Support or Account Management team members
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
- Minimum of 5 years of product or program management experience in E-commerce, specifically in the US region, preferably in areas related to Search & Recommendation
- Experience building product merchandising strategies via structured data, search relevancy, and customized curation
- Results-driven and data-oriented
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or advanced degree preferred
- Experience understanding consumer and shopping habits and developing governance and experience strategies aligned with business objectives
- Proven ability to make quick and effective decisions based on extensive experience
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong organizational and project management skills
