Pay Range: $22.35 - $24.03 hourly ($46,500 - $50,000 annual equivalent)

Reports To: DEIA & Youth Engagement Manager

Position Summary

The Youth Program Coordinator develops and facilitates programs for youth athletes across the country to grow the sport of triathlon, foster healthy habits, build confidence, encourage an active lifestyle, and create a fun environment. In addition, the Youth Program Coordinator is responsible for educating parents and youth athletes about the Athlete Development Model and the many pathways to participate and compete in triathlon and other multisport events from non-competitive youth programs to the elite pathway for our Olympic and Paralympic hopefuls.

Essential Job Functions
  • Provide oversight, management and exceptional service to all USA Triathlon youth programs
  • Work closely with departments across the organization to build, launch and oversee youth programming at every level of the sport.
  • Manage partnerships with organizations and constituents to promote and host youth programs nationwide.
  • Under the direction of the Manager, oversee all youth planning efforts to deliver on USA Triathlon's long term strategy including research, planning, budgeting, collaboration, and presentation.
  • Collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders to build resources, youth content, community programs and more.
  • Manage logistics and track and measure registrations or other key metrics related to all youth programs.
  • Provide the highest level of customer service and communication to parents, constituents, and youth athletes.
  • Perform all necessary administrative responsibilities, including but not limited to phone calls, emails, constituent engagement, and other program-related duties.
  • Act as a liaison between youth development and our High Performance team
  • Support SafeSport requirements and safety needs at all events.
  • Grow diversity in the sport through inclusion initiatives and foster an inclusive environment for all youth athletes to participate.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other software/digital functionality such as database management, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and social media.
  • Extremely personable with excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to speak and present in front of both small and large groups.
  • Knowledge of the sport of triathlon is helpful, but not required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment as part of a team atmosphere, including effective coordination with members of other departments.


Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; or a combination of education and experience that yields the necessary competencies.
  • 1-3 years of related experience including sales, marketing, outbound growth or project/program management experience required.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in business or sport management preferred.
  • Experience within the multisport or endurance industries preferred.
