Description
The University of Chicago's Department of Pediatrics, Section of Allergy/Immunology and Pediatric Pulmonology, seek full-time faculty members at any rank. We especially welcome applicants with experience as clinical educators and/or conducting research in the field of Pediatric Pulmonology. Clinical responsibilities will focus on care of children in inpatient and ambulatory settings at the University of Chicago Comer Children's Hospital ambulatory clinics and other offsite ambulatory locations affiliated with the University of Chicago. Appointees will have leadership potential. Other duties will include teaching and supervision of trainees and students, and scholarly activity. Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) are dependent upon qualifications.
The University of Chicago Comer Children's Hospital is a 155-bed facility with state-of-the-art technology and amenities that offers world-class medical care to children from around the Chicagoland area and across the globe. This position requires a collaborative physician leader who will be positioned to succeed in a busy, dynamic environment and advance the clinical, educational, and scholarly goals of the Section of Pulmonology.
Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, 3) have completed an ACGME-accredited Pediatric Pulmonology training program, 4) be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Pulmonology, and 5) have bronchoscopy experience.
