The University of Chicago's Department of Pediatrics, Section of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics, is searching for full-time faculty members at any rank. Appointees will contribute to patient care, medical education, and scholarship, and join a community of faculty colleagues and learners in UChicago Medicine, the Biological Sciences Division, the Pritzker School of Medicine, and the University of Chicago and its affiliates.

Clinical responsibilities will include care for pediatric patients who may present with a full range of developmental and behavioral conditions. Clinics are held on the University of Chicago campus at the Comer Children's Hospital and at our partner institutions within the city and suburbs. Other duties will include training and supervision of medical students, residents, and fellows. Scholarly activity is expected and may be in research, education, or clinical program development. Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) are dependent upon qualifications.

Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must have: 1) a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) have or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, and 3) be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics, Board Certified or Board Eligible in Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics or Neurodevelopmental Disabilities, or hold equivalent certification/credentials relevant to developmental pediatrics, such as a Master of Public Health or Master of Health Informatics, or have experience involving developmental/behavioral care coordination for children with special health care needs.

We especially welcome applicants with experience in supervising or developing interdisciplinary training experiences and/or those with formal interdisciplinary training through Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities at University Centers of Excellence, Maternal and Child Health Bureau-funded Developmental and Behavioral Pediatric Training Programs (MCHB-DBP), and/or credentialing in Early Intervention or Title V Programs for Children with Special Health Care Needs. Additionally, we welcome applicants with experience in developmental diagnostic teams for autism, intellectual disability, sequelae of prematurity, critical illness, learning disorders, and ADHD.
