Job Description:

The purpose of this position is to provide college-wide procurement and travel processing support and serving as a liaison between college and shared services center staff. Position holds a state small purchase charge card and performs purchase order receiving and tracking. Other duties include performing administrative tasks related to risk management, property control, and warehouse operations.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Experience working in finance, operations, business management, or procurement related field
  • Experience in preparing, organizing, and conducting trainings on complex administrative business processes, systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Highly organized and ability to manage and learn a variety of new tasks, processes, policies, and procedures
  • Skilled in the area of customer relations, focusing on building and fostering positive working relations with a broad spectrum of customers
  • Demonstrated experience with spreadsheets and databases to review or process data
  • Experience analyzing data and researching/gathering information from software systems
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience utilizing a state purchase charge card
  • Experience utilizing the State's e-procurement system, eVA and Bank of America Works for charge card reconciliation
  • Working knowledge of the Agency Procurement and Surplus Property Manual (APSPM), Virginia Public Procurement Act (VPPA)and Commonwealth Accounting Policies and Procedures Manual (CAPP)
  • Experience with customer and vendor relationship management and business process improvement
  • Previous experience in higher education environment
