Your Opportunity

Stantec is currently seeking to grow our Air Quality Team. We are looking for an Air Quality Program Manager to join our team in the Minneapolis/Saint Paul metropolitan area. A successful candidate will manage an air quality permitting, compliance, and reporting, and/or air dispersion modeling program for one of Stantec's fortune 500 manufacturing client accounts. The position will manage client relationships, identify, and respond to project opportunities, and lead execution of air quality permitting and compliance projects in accordance with the Clean Air Act (CAA) and other federal, state, and local regulations. Project sectors include, but are not limited to, manufacturing, distribution centers, mining, and chemicals. Position may be filled in any of Stantec's offices, but ideally in the Minneapolis/Saint Paul metropolitan area.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Direct projects and teams to meet deliverables including managing project scope, schedule, and budget for a wide variety of facilities with air permitting and environmental compliance needs.
  • Assist client team and facilities in identifying appropriate monitoring, planning, training, testing, record-keeping, and reporting protocols.
  • Review air permit applications and associated documentation.
  • Conduct environmental site assessments and inspections to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal air quality requirements.
  • Coordinate team assignments of projects and track execution of deliverables to ensure client's needs are met.
  • Foster client relationships while responding to project opportunities with the correct Stantec resources.
  • Assist in account strategy, planning and growth, including air quality team growth.
  • Track regulatory developments and programs which impact client operations and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials
  • Demonstrated knowledge of air quality environmental regulations and requirements, which may include air dispersion modeling and Prevention of Significant Deterioration (PSD) permitting under New Source Review (NSR), including nonattainment NSR.
  • Ability to manage a team and work with clients
  • Strong analytical skills and good attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with both clients and project team members
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office software platform, specifically Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to occasionally travel and, as needed, have overnight trips

Education and Experience Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, environmental science, environmental policy, or related field

10 years of project management and/or program management experience for air quality and compliance projects
