We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Data Advisor for our Onshore Resources & Carbon Management, Production Operations asset.
This position will be located in our Houston, TX. The Data Advisor supports Portfolio, Planning, and Integrated Planning team by providing optimized data management structures and tool development that allow for improved visibility, analysis, and decision making across the ORCM organization.
Responsibilities:
• Create, enhance, and support tools used by portfolio planning and business unit
• Create and support dashboards to provide visibility into business performance, operational data, and financial
• Provide data, information, and technical support to portfolio planning team
• Assist with digital transformation projects and automating workflow
• Proactively recognize and resolve data issue
• Provide training, share best practices, and mentor others in the organization
Qualifications:
Qualifications
• Bachelors Degree with 3+ years working as a Data Analyst or similar role
• Strong knowledge of data systems (ORACLE, SQL Server) and SQL Syntax
• Ability to create Spotfire and Power BI projects utilizing customization via JavaScript, and IronPython
• Familiarity with database security and permissions pertaining to tables and schema
• Creative thinker with a desire to challenge the status quo and conventional thinking with the ability to influence new ideas, processes and technologie
• Ensures high quality data is available for the decision-making processe
• Strong analytical and problem solving capabilitie
• Excellent time management skills with ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently
• Must be a team player with strong interpersonal skills that are necessary to work with multidiscipline customers with varying degrees of experience
• Strong communication skills to work in a collaborative environment
Additional Desired Qualifications:
• Experience with programming languages like R, Python, VBA, C#
• Ability to manipulate large amounts of data quickly from multiple data sources with a variety of tool
• Upstream Oil and Gas experience
