The APA-accredited doctoral program in Combined Counseling Psychology & School Psychology is pleased to invite applications for a tenure-earning Assistant/Associate professor position. The position will involve the following:
Qualifications
A Ph.D. or terminal degree from an accredited institution in Counseling Psychology or a closely related field is required. Candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to research and scholarship, teaching, supervision, program development, and the integration of science and practice, while serving as a professional role model. ABD candidates will be considered if the Ph.D. is earned by the start date. We encourage applicants with expertise in Counseling Psychology, knowledge of APA-accreditation procedures, and familiarity with national training issues in professional psychology. Additionally, candidates with experience conducting and publishing research in areas relevant to counseling psychology are strongly encouraged to apply.
Preferred Qualifications
We seek candidates with counseling or supervision experience, prior teaching experience at the graduate or undergraduate level, and a developing or well-established independent research program. A record of success, or strong potential for success, in teaching, research, and service is highly valued. Preference will be given to candidates who hold a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from an APA-accredited program and who demonstrate a commitment to the professional identity of a health service psychologist. Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a psychologist in Florida is strongly preferred. Additionally, demonstrated potential or proven success in securing external research funding is highly desirable.
