Responsibilities

The individual hired will be required to maintain an active research agenda, possess strong knowledge of quantitative and/or qualitative research methods for the effective mentoring of master's and doctoral student research, teach undergraduate and graduate courses, seek external funding, aid in developing external partnerships, and contribute to department and university growth through appropriate service activities.

Qualifications

  • Earned doctorate degree in Sport Management or related field.
  • Experience procuring external funding, or evidence of ability to procure external funding.
  • College/university teaching experience, mentoring experience, and evidence of scholarly productivity.
  • An individual's program of research should align with one of the department's core content areas: Legal and Policy Studies, Management, Marketing, and Media and Cultural Studies. Preference will be given to individuals with a record of procuring external funding.

Candidates are being sought for a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor position in the Department Sport Management in the College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences. This is a nine-month position, with possible summer employment. Candidates should be available to start in the Fall 2025 semester (Approximately August 6, 2025).
