Recently expanded in 2023, the College is home to six academic departments united through a common goal to maximize human potential. In total, the College includes the Department of Educational Leadership & Policy Studies, Department of Educational Psychology & Learning Systems, Department of Health, Nutrition, and Food Sciences, Department of Human Development & Family Science, Department of Sport Management, School of Teacher Education, numerous research centers, and three laboratory schools (Florida State University School, FSU Pembroke Pines Charter School, and The Collegiate School at FSU Panama City). The College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences serves over 4,000 students via 201 full-time faculty and 76 full-time staff.

The position will involve teaching, research, and service within the Combined Counseling Psychology and School Psychology doctoral Program within the Department of Educational Psychology and Learning Systems (EPLS) and will include a joint appointment with the Florida Center for Reading Research (FCRR). The position carries a reduced teaching assignment with correspondingly high expectations for research productivity. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain a rigorous grant writing and research program, including competitive external- and federally funded research grants. The candidate will also be expected to participate in university governance in the department, college, and FCRR, at a level that is commensurate with the rank of a tenured associate professor, in addition to professional service. This position has an anticipated start date of August 2025; however, the start date is negotiable.

The candidate will join a diverse, interdisciplinary group of colleagues and students at FCRR. Drawing from multiple disciplines, FCRR investigates all aspects of reading and reading-related skills across the lifespan. Through rigorous and robust research, innovation, and engagement, FCRR advances the science of reading to improve learning and achievement from birth through adulthood. EPLS is similarly diverse, home to six doctoral, four M.S./Ed.S., and four M.S. degrees in multiple program areas including the APA-accredited joint doctoral program, NASP-accredited school psychology Ed.S. program and multiple CACREP-accredited Ed.S. programs in addition to programs in Educational Psychology, Measurement and Statistics, Sport Psychology, and Instructional Systems & Learning Technologies.
