Business Analyst
The Business Analyst for Retail Banking will serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams, responsible for understanding and analyzing business needs, translating them into detailed requirements, and supporting the implementation of retail banking solutions. The individual will work closely with various departments, including operations, risk management, product development, and technology, to enhance customer experience, streamline processes, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. The role demands strong analytical skills, retail banking domain expertise, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Job expectations:
Requirements Gathering and Analysis:
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and document functional and non-functional requirements for retail banking projects.
Conduct gap analysis, feasibility studies, and impact assessments to identify business needs and solutions.
Process Improvement:
Analyze current retail banking processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements to enhance customer service, reduce costs, and increase productivity.
Design workflows, process maps, and business models to streamline banking operations.
Solution Design and Documentation:
Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications for technology teams, ensuring alignment with business goals.
Develop use cases, user stories, process diagrams, and system specifications to support solution implementation.
Stakeholder Communication:
Act as a bridge between business users and technical teams, facilitating clear communication and understanding of requirements.
Organize and lead meetings, workshops, and presentations with stakeholders at various levels.
Testing and Validation:
Work closely with QA teams to define testing strategies and ensure comprehensive test coverage of business requirements.
Participate in UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and assist in validating the effectiveness of the implemented solutions.
Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure that retail banking solutions comply with relevant regulations and internal policies.
Identify risks, document mitigation strategies, and ensure adherence to risk management protocols.
Post-Implementation Support:
Provide post-go-live support, including issue resolution, user training, and system enhancements based on feedback.
Monitor key performance metrics to ensure the solution delivers expected benefits.
