Job Description

9:00 A.M - 5:00 P.M

SUMMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

In addition to performing the duties of Assignment Level III at a higher level, also performs the following typical tasks:
  • Registers patients, and verifies demographic, insurance information, and consent forms in a timely matter.
  • Schedule appointments and patient referrals from EPIC work queues in a timely manner.
  • Collect Credit Card co-payments at the front desk point of service, and referring to Managed Care and Cashier's Office as appropriate.
  • Ensure patient visits are opened in a timely manner and all data is captured correctly.
  • Ensure all follow-up appointments are made and printed for patients.
  • Ensure all communication to clinical staff and patient correspondence is sent to the appropriate teams via Epic.
  • Support the improvement of patient experience in Ambulatory Care.
  • Support with patient outreach and clerical tasks if necessary.
  • Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and departmental projects.
  • Recommend changes in workflow to enhance workflow, data collection, and entry.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.


Minimum Qualifications
1. A high school diploma or its educational equivalent; and
2. Six (6) months of full-time satisfactory clerical experience and/or experience interacting with the public, such as processing sales; taking, processing, and delivering orders; obtaining and dispensing information; listening to and resolving customers concerns, problems, and complaints; and/or performing related customer service activities.
