Job Summary
Under the general direction of the supervisor, assist in all aspects of a NCAA Division I men's & women's track & field program including student recruitment, scheduling, team travel, scouting opponents, practice planning, assisting with the administration of summer camps and clinics, and administration of the men's & women's track & field program in full compliance with NCAA and university rules and regulations.

Assist the supervisor in all aspects of an NCAA Division I men's & women's track & field program including student recruitment, scheduling, team travel, scouting opponents, practice planning, assisting with the administration of summer camps, and administration of the men's & women's track & field program in full compliance with NCAA and university rules and regulations. The University of California, Davis sponsors 25 sports for men and women and is a member of NCAA Division I. A majority of intercollegiate sports compete in the Big West Conference.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
For full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload license, certification and/or educational degree if required of the position.
- Collegiate coaching and experience in the sport of track & field.
- Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
- Knowledge of the rules and strategies of track & field. This includes, but is not limited to, teaching techniques, coaching strategies and safety measures that are necessary for the UC Davis student-athlete to compete at the collegiate level. Skills to interact effectively and establish cooperative working relationships with UC Davis student-athletes, coaching colleagues, department staff and other persons from diverse backgrounds including parents, fans, boosters, members of the media and officials associated with the sport.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to learn the complex policies and procedures regarding academic eligibility of UC Davis student-athletes. These include UC Davis, Big West Conference and the National Collegiate Athletic Association policies and procedures.

Complete and pass the National Collegiate Athletic Association Recruiting Examination per NCAA bylaw 12.1, 2.2.1 and be CPR & First Aid certified annually.
