The College of Business is dedicated to enhancing students' post-college transition by expanding its services, including career education programming, online resources, and networking events with employers and alumni. These initiatives aim to foster valuable job and internship opportunities.

The Coordinator of Career Engagement and Data Management will work in tandem with staff, alumni, and employers to strategize and execute career programming logistics while serving as a dependable resource for students. The position will play a pivotal role in implementing career services programs tailored to undergraduate students within the College of Business.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Career Event Planning and Support for BUS 3410

Designs and oversees career readiness events (including those run through BUS 3410), encompassing event programming and execution; collaborates with Career Development staff across campus to optimize student engagement strategies, employer relations, and event logistics, striving for RCOB best practices in career services; manages all professional development programming (including workshops and other events to be created) within the Rollins College of Business, promoting career readiness among undergraduate students; assists with logistics and event coordination for BUS 3410; assists recent graduates in finding employment for six months post-graduation; and advocates for students in job search progress.

Data Collection and Liaison for Rollins Rise student engagement program

Conducts First Destination data collection/analysis and collaborates with stakeholders to enhance data collection processes and reporting efficiency; serves as liaison for the Rollins Rise student engagement program working with the operational side of the platform (entering student IDs, events, and other backend functions); adds events to the platform as they are offered by the Decosimo Success Center.

Career Coaching

Offers at least 4 hours per week of personalized career coaching sessions to undergraduate students, guiding them through various aspects of the job search process, including job search strategies, personal branding, interview skills, and resume writing among others.; and focuses on preparedness for internships and positions related to students' areas of study.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Event Planning and Execution:
    • Ability to design, plan, and execute career readiness events, including those integrated with courses like BUS 3410.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration and Relationship Management:
    • Ability to collaborate with Career Development staff, employers, and other stakeholders to optimize student engagement strategies and enhance employer relations.
  • Data Collection and Analysis:
    • Ability to collect and analyze First Destination data to enhance reporting efficiency.
  • Technology Proficiency
    • Ability to serve as a liaison between the success center and the faculty lead for the student engagement platform, fand additional software programs that support success center events.
  • Career Coaching and Counseling:
    • Ability to provide career coaching sessions to undergraduate students, focusing on various aspects of the job search process.
  • Communication Skills:
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with students, faculty, staff, employers, and other stakeholders.
    • Ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
  • Adaptability and Flexibility:
    • Capacity to adapt to changing circumstances and student needs in an educational environment.
    • Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends to support career events and programming as needed.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with 2-3 years of experience working with students at the collegiate level or in an HR Recruiting role at an organization, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree.
