Director of Agile and Quality Assurance

Power Home Remodeling is seeking a Director of Agile and Quality Assurance to join our Business Technology team at our state of the art headquarters located just outside of Philadelphia, PA. Reporting to the VP of Application Development and Infrastructure, you will have the opportunity to work with talented people on challenging problems and make a significant impact on the business and industry. We believe deeply in what we do: to build something lasting, sustainable and positive.
As the Director of Agile and Quality Assurance, you will be charged with helping to build an organization passionately focused on continuous improvement and automation. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our software development initiatives and our platform. We are a development culture steeped in learning and collaboration, and your experience leading quality assurance teams and quality assurances automation efforts will instantly go to use as we take on major initiatives and technology rollouts. This is a senior leadership position that requires strong technical expertise, exceptional communication skills, and a strategic mindset.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a talented team of scrum masters and QA pros. Foster their growth and career development through regular performance reviews and one-on-one meetings.
- Apply Agile and Scrum methodologies to champion continuous improvement, drive efficient project delivery, and swiftly adapt to evolving requirements.
- Set and uphold manual testing and test automation standards to maintain consistency and excellence across all teams.
- Spearhead the introduction and adoption of test automation tools and processes, reducing manual effort and boosting overall efficiency.
- Establish, monitor, and report on key performance indicators that highlight the efficiency and effectiveness of our software development and QA processes.
- Stay ahead of the curve with the latest industry trends and best practices in application development and quality assurance. Make impactful recommendations to elevate our processes.
- Lead the charge in interviewing, onboarding, and training new Agile and QA team members, building a powerhouse team of tech-savvy professionals.
Qualifications:
- 6+ years of proven experience managing and leading people and projects with a track record of success.
- 10+ years of experience working in the quality assurance space.
- Strong knowledge and experience implementing processes and standards directed at improving efficiency and quality of application development teams.
- Preferred: experience introducing quality assurance automation in an Agile software development environment.
- Experience developing and reporting on key performance indicators that help measure the efficacy of software development practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior management.
