What we need YOU to do:
The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency wants you to join our team as an environmental specialistwith the Division of Air Pollution Control (DAPC) at our Southwest District Office in Logan.
You care about clean air? Same.
As environmental specialist, you'll assist with the technical review of air pollution permits to ensure they are written to comply with state and federal air pollution rules and regulations.
We'll count on your technical expertise to assist and train staff on the review and processing of air permits applications (including Title V) for air contaminant sources, including but not limited to the oil and gas sector. You'll guide staff in drafting permit terms and conditions, conducting facility evaluations, and on developing enforcement actions for non-compliance incidents.
You'll c onduct , review, and observe facility compliance inspections and demonstrations, and assist in resolving complaints for assigned facilities . As subject matter expert, you'll assist management in the development and review of DAPC guidance, rules, and policies.

• Prepare air pollution control permits for facilities in, but not limited to, the oil and gas sector.
• Conduct technical review of staff work products, including permits and compliance related documents for facilities in, but not limited to, the oil and gas sector.

Qualifications
-7 yrs. relevant programmatic exp.
-Or completion of undergraduate core coursework in environmentally-related discipline; 3 yrs. relevant programmatic exp.
-Or 2 yrs. relevant programmatic experience as Environmental Supervisor, 85865.
-Or combination of education in environmentally focused discipline or other job-related discipline & specific programmatic experience equaling 7 yrs.
-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
