Why does the job exist?
This position overseas all Human Resource operations, Training and Support staff for the Sequoyah Adolescent Treatment Center. Position is responsible for managing all areas relating to discipline, labor, and employee relations, compensation, classification, benefits, recruitment, selection, workers compensation, and payroll for 122 employees.
How does it get done?
Manage all areas relating to discipline, labor relations, compensation and benefits, recruitment and selections, workers comp., FML, employee evaluations, payroll for a 122 FTE. Also responsible for all union related activities and Chair the Local Management Committee. Management/Supervisory: Mange the HR, Training and Support staff which would include preparing the evaluating EE's for the employees in those areas. Licensing & Certification & TJC Accreditation: Assure all standards and requirements for the HR and Training areas are maintained. Ongoing preparation for Licensure & Certification Surveys and works as a liaison with the oversite agencies for assigned standards. Oversees and manages the HR and Training areas. Will assure customer service and consistent practices are met with the support staff. Assure the control staff is greeting and managing the central access of the facility and support staffs performance is supportive to the Administrative Team members

Ideal Candidate
The Ideal candidate will have experience performing a variety of Human Resources duties, to include both comp. and class and labor actions. The candidate will have experience in meeting regulation standards set forth by Licensing and Certification and the Joint Commission. Lastly, will have the ability to manage and prioritize timelines required with a high case toad of HR duties in a 24-hour facility.
Minimum Qualification
Bachelor's Degree in any related field and two (2) years of experience in human resource operations; recruitment, selection, payroll, compensation, and benefits administration and/or occupational analysis. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling six (6) years may substitute for the required education and experience.

Education Experience 1 High School Diploma or Equivalent AND 6 years of experience 2 Associate's degree AND 4 years of experience 3 Bachelor's degree AND 2 years of experience 4 Master's degree or higher AND 0 years of experience
• Education and years of experience must be related to the purpose of the position.
• If Minimum Qualification requires a specific number of "semester hours" in a field (e.g. 6 semester hours in Accounting), applicants MUST have those semester hours in order to meet the minimum qualifications. No substitutions apply for semester hours.
Employment Requirements
Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.
Working Conditions
Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Possible exposure to irate clientele. Some statewide travel may be required. Incumbent will work under stress and frequent time constraints. Must have own mode of transportation for work-related travel.
