Duties

  • The position reports to the Customer Relations Branch Manager (OITR), Office of Information Technology (OIT), and Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA).
  • Responsible for leading efforts to deliver ServiceNOW solutions for the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) and influencing the implementation, processes and on-going support of the ServiceNow platform.
  • Deploys all cloud resources in a DoD environment that requires very high availability. Performs configuration management and disaster recovery tasks throughout the cloud environment.
  • Leads meetings and discussions with employees and technical personnel to plan, test, implement, maintain, and modify DCAA IT technical strategies and solutions.
  • Coordinates Information Assurance/Cybersecurity incident responses with first responders and Agency Information Assurance (IA) Officer(s)
  • Performs day-to-day oversight of IT contractors on services and issues to ensure contracted performance is consistent with terms and conditions of the contract.

Attention to Detail- experience reviewing my own information technology-related work or data and have been asked by others to review their work or data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency with standards.

Customer Service- experience maintaining relationships with customers, assessing current information technology needs of customers, and developing or identifying information technology products and services that are tailored to meet customer needs.

Oral Communication- briefing mid-level management and IT staff on the status of information technology systems, projects, or daily operations, including the communication of technical information to a non-technical audience.

Problem Solving- identifying alternatives to address complex information technology-related issues by gathering and applying information from a variety of sources that provide a number of potential solutions.

In addition to meeting the basic requirement, you must have one year specialized experience at the GS-12 or equivalent level. Specialized experience is that which has prepared the applicant to do the work of this position, and must be in the IT area of computer Cloud specialist; designing, planning and managing applications and system integration/migration with a cloud environment, and serving as a ServiceNow Administrator.

Information Assurance Certification: As a condition of employment, the selectee must possess, or attain within 6 months, an information Assurance Technician Level 2 certification (Comptia Security+, GSEC, SSCP) IAW DOD 8570.01.
