IT Manager (Network Engineering)

Summary:
This position manages a team of AutoZoners in the development, implementation, and support of AutoZone's existing and new networking solutions, specifically SD-WAN and Cloud. Ability to work closely with business partners to ensure that new capabilities meet the practical needs of the company and with support teams to ensure operational stability is essential.
Responsibilities:
• Manage, develop and lead a team of IT professional AutoZoners, this includes assigning/monitoring work, providing feedback, coaching, counseling, and salary administration
• Manages and tracks the progress of multiple projects. Performs project management and administration that include work plans, resource planning and control and proposing annual budgets.
• Building relationship with key business partners to identify and resolve business issues.
• Evaluates and recommends hardware and software products for applicability, compatibility, financial feasibility and integration with AutoZone systems.
• Provides the Director, direct reports, customers, and outside organizations with timely, competent, professional, and accurate memos, time estimates, project plans, and status reports.
• Manages system development and support activities to meet business needs in a timely and cost- effective manner while ensuring the right things get done as per the governance process.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
• Requires ten to fifteen years' experience based on consistently demonstrated capabilities
• Knowledge of Information Technology, solution planning, LAN, WAN, Routing, Cloud Networking
• Expert proficiency with the network architecture, methodology, governance, and roll-out/implementation process
• People leadership/supervisory skills
• Technical skills : TCP/IP, Networking and LAN, administration, Data Center, Network Security, routing protocols, Enterprise WiFi, VoIP, Conferencing, Contact center, MPLS, SD-WAN and Enterprise WiFi. SD-WAN and GCP experience is highly desirable
• Problem solving and analytical skills
• Presentation, facilitation and writing skills
• Project management - estimating, planning, controlling, and execution.
