Job Description

The position will report to a UC Director. The position provides administrative support, optimization, administration and technical documentation for localized facility and/or enterprise network system. The person in this position will oversees daily support for Unified Communications technologies and will proactively Identifies issues that are often difficult to detect and performs root cause analysis in finding resolution to Unified Communications systems failures or faults. Responsible for managing major projects that impact multiple facilities, clinics and the availability of mission-critical IT services.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Mobile device deployment iPhone, iPad and Samsung devices, assist with mobile phone recycle and inventory program.
  • Perform bimonthly mobile device audits to determine if we should select a more cost-effective plan, or need to update our mobile catalog, and communicate concerns to managers.
  • Track phone system circuit carrier inventory with various carriers, present escalation issues, status reports and findings to Director.
  • Maintains records and databases containing information regarding deployed phones and on stock inventory of all equipment, to include but not limited to make, model, PO numbers, serial number, IT Inventory number, location, device name, (if applicable).
  • Attend all Unified Communications training (VOIP, RightFax and supported technologies)
  • Validate currently deployed equipment to ensure database records are current.
  • Ensure project/department milestones/goals are met.
  • Technical resource for all UC Telecommunication Technical break fix issues
  • Repair and replace defective telephones.
  • Day to day support AVST CallXpress Voice Processing System
  • Troubleshoot, move, change and install TDM & IP phones.
  • General maintenance of telecommunication equipment and phones
  • Preform moves, adds and changes (MAC Orders)
  • Assist in configuring and installing various CISCO IP Phone models on CUCM various versions
  • Troubleshoot and maintain NEC Inc. hardware and software.
  • Assist with overhead paging break fix and deployment.
  • Assist with Spok long range pager deployment and maintenance.
  • Assist with Turnkey short-range pager deployment and maintenance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned/required.


Minimum Qualifications
1. A Baccalaureate Degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems, Industrial Management,Business Administration or related fields; or,
2. Two years of technical training or education beyond the High School level, with a minimum of two years of full-time, paid experience in the field of industrialengineering, systems analysis, methods and procedures, work simplification, cost reductions, EDP data processing applications, forms designs and control; or,
3. A satisfactory combination of the above.

  • Excellent Oral, written and Communications skills
  • Working knowledge of Telecommunications systems, protocols, and applications


Years of Experience:
  • 6 months of IT related experience
