Job Summary

The Business Operations Analyst is responsible for cross-functional analytical, project and financial support. This position will play a key role in the consolidation of budget and forecast projections from multiple business units and the development of management level presentations and reports. Candidates should have a solid understanding of financial management concepts, budgeting and planning cycles, measuring, and reporting on key business drivers and variance analysis. Preferred knowledge base includes the ability to generate varying levels of reports through a variety of methods, including SQL, Python, ETL processes, web app management, and the consolidation of front-end information system reports.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with presentation of business results, financial analysis and interpretations to senior leadership
  • Perform ad hoc modeling and analysis of project financials and metrics to support business decisions and evaluation of new opportunities
  • Support financial tracking of spend to budget on construction projects
  • Enhance, maintain, and distribute applicable KPIs to senior leadership
  • Create various levels of reporting to allow for more creative layers of reporting and efficiency through self-serve reporting for end users
  • Serve on short-term committees supporting various ad hoc projects
  • Manage existing Python ETL processes and scripts
  • Maintain internal web app used for records management
  • Microsoft SQL Server data management to include tables, views and stored procedures
  • Proficient in multiple programming languages
  • Python / Flask
  • JavaScript / CSS
  • SQL (Google BigQuery, Oracle, Microsoft)
  • VBA


Qualifications

  • 3 years of work-related experience in business and programming
  • Experience working in a team environment supporting budget/forecasting activities, long-range planning or ad hoc financial analysis preferred.
  • Excellent analytical aptitude with a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a multi-team environment, possessing strong interpersonal skills suitable for interacting with various departments and all levels of management
  • Ability to thrive in a highly quantitative, fast-paced environment with changing business needs
  • High degree of initiative, personal responsibility, and ownership
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power Query, SharePoint and OneDrive required
  • Ability to manipulate and analyze large amounts of raw data
