Job Summary:

The Colorado School of Public Health and the Department of Biostatistics & Informatics is looking for a part-time (50%FTE) highly motivated Professional Research Assistant (PRA) - Level 1 that can work with our research team in the development and clinical translation of computational tools that can support patient evaluation using novel data science, image computing and machine learning approaches.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and enhance software interfaces for clinical translation of computational research methods
  • Provide software and code support to our research team
  • Maintain code repositories and software versioning


Work Location:

Hybrid - this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 2-3 days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related fields.
  • Experience with software development


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proactivity for problem-solving
  • Capacity to work independent and coordinate with other team members as needed
  • Great communication skill and capacity to integrate in a multi-disciplinary research team


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in Python
  • Theoretical knowledge about Algorithm and data structures

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:

$24,205 - $27,705 for a 0.50 FTE

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
