Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position.

Duties
- Develops strategies and departmental policies/processes that facilitate the use of a variety of hiring authorities focused on disability hiring and increase the talent pipeline.
- Provides primary assistance and support to the department regarding the administration of policies and program to attract, retain, and promote a diverse workforce for the organization, especially targeted to persons with disabilities.
- Assists offices and bureaus in developing plans for attracting persons with disabilities and other candidates with the appropriate skills, experiences & education in a dynamic labor market that aggressively competes for talented & diverse applicants.
- Serves as the DOS liaison on Disability employment (including disabled veteran employment) to high-ranking officials in various groups and organizations, both internal and external to the Department.
- Evaluates the effectiveness of policies and procedures that are developed and takes measures to modify guidance to ensure maximum effectiveness involving classified and/or Top-Secret information.

- Experience communicating at all levels of an organization, sufficient to interview, advise, and counsel potential applicants and to make formal recruitment presentations to various groups and forums.
