Responsibilities
Identify and manage communication projects on behalf of the College of Nursing, including organizing any research, obtaining necessary approvals and measuring results. Communicate directly with leadership and departmental staff on project status, needs and expected deadlines. Work with appropriate faculty and staff on developing communication tools related to projects such as CON-led clinics, special initiatives (such as graduate program expansion), college-led research recruitment and newly created programs.
Participate in developing, writing and editing communications including newsletters, brochures, social media posts, and a variety of marketing materials. Write and edit stories, articles and briefs for various internal and external publications in accordance with accepted stylistic standards. Assist the Director of Communications and other staff with writing, editing and proofreading letters, programs, press releases, invitations and collateral materials.
Provide guidance and direction to media specialist and other staff involved in media, communications or marketing services.
Actively participate in the life of the College including attending events, meetings and other activities, as well as maintain effective working relationships with all campus and community partners. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and four years of experience related to media, communications, and/or marketing services; or high school diploma/equivalent and experience equal to eight years. (Note: post-high school education can substitute for experience at the equivalent rate.)

Anticipated Salary Range
Low - mid $50,000's, commensurate with education/experience.
