Title: IT Project Coordinator
Location: Houston, TX- Onsite
Duration: 6 Month contract with rights to hire

We are seeking an experienced Data Analytics Project Coordinator to oversee and facilitate data analytics projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing projects involving multiple business groups and diverse technical teams. They will be responsible for gathering requirements from stakeholders, distinguishing between essential and desirable requirements, coordinating project meetings, and ensuring timely delivery of project milestones.

Key Responsibilities:

• Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with various business groups to elicit project requirements and translate them into actionable tasks for the project team.
• Requirement Prioritization: Work closely with stakeholders to prioritize requirements, distinguishing between must-have and nice-to-have features to ensure efficient project delivery.
• Project Coordination: Lead project meetings, including kick-off, status updates, and review sessions, to ensure alignment across teams and adherence to project timelines.
• Resource Allocation: Coordinate with data engineers, data scientists, and other technical teams to allocate resources effectively and ensure smooth project execution.
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks and dependencies early in the project lifecycle and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of project requirements, decisions, and progress to facilitate effective communication and project tracking.
• Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for project-related inquiries, providing regular updates to stakeholders on project status, milestones, and deliverables.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project coordination or management, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
• Proven experience working with diverse technical teams, including data engineers and data scientists, to deliver complex data analytics projects.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand and interpret technical requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
• Experience in Agile or Scrum methodologies is a plus.
