Summary
  • Position Summary
    • This Research Coordinator II will work on a variety of projects in the Center for Interdisciplinary & Population Health Research (CIPHR), a division of the MaineHealth Institute for Research. This position is a clinical and technical position responsible for coordinating clinical research. The successful candidate will coordinate research projects for multiple CIPHR investigators. This includes study coordination, compliance and audit coordination, collaboration, and communication. Functions may include study design, Institutional Review Board (IRB) applications, participant recruitment, managing interviews, transcription, data collection, survey development, and compliance. Certification by the Association of Clinical Research Professionals or Society of Clinical Research Associates is expected within two years of hire.

      This position is based at our Westbrook, ME research offices. A hybrid work schedule may be available. Time may be spent in clinical settings and in research laboratories.
  • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
    • Education: Bachelor's degree in a health science or related field required.
    • License/Certifications: Certification by the Association of Clinical Research Professionals or Society of Clinical Research Associates preferred.
    • Experience: 2 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting required.
    • Knowledge of basic statistical principles and methods.
    • Ability to function independently and as part of a team.
    • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
    • Demonstrable computer competency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
